Fifty Shades of Kinky Fcukery or the new Queen of Lingerie?

[caption id="attachment_358" align="aligncenter" width="580"] Zahia Dehar modelling her one of her own design on the Catwalk[/caption]

Once upon a time (2010) in a land far away Zahia Dehar was a teenage prostitute embroiled in a scandal involving three French footballers who were alleged to have illegally paid the underage girl for sex.

Fast forward to 2012, and Zahia has entirely transformed her fortunes.

Trading on her notoriety as a sex symbol, Zahia Dehar reinvented herself as a lingerie designer, showing her first collection on the Paris catwalks in January earlier this year.

And last night, her status as a recognised figure in the fashion industry was cemented as the blonde former courtesan showcased her second collection of lingerie at Paris Couture Week.

Zahia, who modelled some of her designs herself at last night's show, appeared as a stylised Barbie doll to open the event before a stream of models took to the runway wearing a succession of ever more risque lingerie.

Entranced by her beauty, and the romantic notion of the history of the French courtesan he said she represented, a charmed Karl Lagerfeld photographed her debut look book himself!!!

With this ultimate seal of approval, the rest, as they say, is history. Zahia Dehar's metamorphosis from courtesan to catwalk queen of lingerie was complete.

I don't care what her background was, these garments are beautiful creations and I want them all!

And they all lived happily ever after...

A Cameo Appearance

[caption id="attachment_351" align="aligncenter" width="580"] A modern day twist on the traditional cameo[/caption]

I love that Cameos are now back in vogue, I remember my mother wearing a massive cameo ring back in the 80's and wanted it.  The take for 2012 is bold and bright and I totally rate the laser cut perspex pendants above from Sarah Keyes that are a bargain at only £22.00 each! If you prefer a haute variety look no further than the Miu Miu and Tom Binns versions below.

Tom Binns' range can be purchased from Net-A-Porter and Miu Miu's from My Theresa.
