Jimmy Choo for H&M

Autumn has never been this glamorous at H&M before. This year, British luxury label Jimmy Choo will bring a special limited collection to 200 selected H&M store across the globe. After infamous collaborations with designer brands such as Karl Lagerfeld, Matthew Williamson and Viktor&Rolf, it is the first time H&M is teaming up with an accessory label. To celebrate this new bag and accessory collaboration, Jimmy Choo will extend its design vision creating women's clothing. The collection will also feature a men's collection of shoes, bags and men gadgets.

“We adore Jimmy Choo's shoes and bags. They are glamorous and sexy, and they add instant style to the simplest of outfits. I like the way we have worked with clothes to accessorize the shoes and bags rather than the other way around. This collaboration is particularly exciting because it's our first shoe designer collection. It's a joy to be able to offer top end designer shoes and bags of excellent quality to our customers.” Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor, H&M.

Jimmy Choo is renowned by the Hollywood glitterati and has become a red-carpet essential. Launched in 1996, the brand is now one of the most sought after luxury accessory labels.

Grey Is The New Black

Hot off the production line are the new grey ‘Rats’ leggings by Aussie design duo Sass & Bide.

Layer on an oversized tank and add statement heels for a weekend look with rock-chick credentials.

I think you will agree that grey is certainly the new black and they would also look fab teamed with some wellie's for the upcoming festival season.

Undercover: The Evolution Of Underwear

The Fashion and Textile Museum's exciting new exhibition Undercover traces the evolution of underwear from health garment, shape definer to fashion ‘must have’. It explores a number of themes such as boudoir to everyday glamour – ‘Stars and their bras’ looking at celebrity branding; research and innovation's impact on the types of underwear we wear; and how the changing face of underwear advertising and marketing meshes with social and cultural changes.

The exhibition presents a visual demonstration of how female underwear has evolved as women's role in society changed. It encompasses the changing trends from the ‘flatten it’ to the ‘push it up’ to the ‘let it all hang out’! Undercover contains some exquisite pieces from a wide range of private and public collections that read like the Who's Who of underwear; M&S, Triumph, La Perla, Christian Dior, Elle Macpherson, Myla and Wonderbra – to name just a few.

From the risqué to the radical, pieces include an original Merry Widow corset inspired by Lana Turner in the film of the same name; renowned burlesque artiste Immodesty Blaize's corset; a spectacular gown made from bras and briefs by designers Vin & Omi and a La Perla bra encrusted with Swarovski crystals.

This is one not to be missed!

Burberry Check is now Hogwarts Chic

After weeks of speculation, Emma Watson was today unveiled as the face of Burberry and doesn't she look beautiful!

Photographed by Mario Testino, Watson looks extremely grown up in trench coats from the autumn/winter collection.

Despite persistent rumours linking her to Chanel, and her ubiquitous presence at international fashion shows, Burberry is the first major advertising campaign that the 19-year-old Harry Potter star has landed.

Shot by Mario Testino in Westminster, close to Burberry's headquarters at Horseferry House, the images capture Watson in a collection inspired by Virginia Woolf and the Bloomsbury set.

Burberry's creative director Christopher Bailey told The Evening Standard: 'Having known and admired the lovely Emma Watson for quite some time, she was the obvious choice for this campaign.

'Emma has a classic beauty, a great character and a modern edge. Her charm, intellect and brilliant sense of fun made the whole shoot feel like a picnic on the Thames.'

He added: 'I felt Emma would be strong enough to hold the campaign as the only girl, and I loved the idea of her being surrounded by these young, cool British guys.'

Oversized earrings

Earlobes are the new neck, at least when it comes to statement accessories! Monster necklaces were usurped by gigantic earrings in collections ranging from the minimalist (Stella McCartney) to the more exuberant (hello, Louis Vuitton). Some earrings that I saw on the spring runway were absolutely massive this year - some even too big for my liking - but if you want oversized earrings, then visit Charm & Chain, with much more to come for spring 2009. The pictured earrings are by Wendy Mink, and made with Lucite & Amethysts.

Louis Vuitton Graffiti Print is Back!

Cast your mind back to 2001 when Louis Vuitton launched their iconic graffiti print range in collaboration with late artist Stephen Sprouse. If you were like me by the time you got to the top of the waiting list they had sold out but now fresh for Spring 2009 they are back and available from tomorrow!

LV designer Marc Jacobs, has smartly capitalized off the nostalgia for Sprouse's artwork by issuing the Stephen Sprouse Tribute line. With Sprouse's trademark graffiti brush stroke print and artful roses coupled with the iconic LV logo, the line stands out as something recognizable, unique and like true artwork, undeniably awesome.

Lancome's Pink Irreverence

Lancome's new season cosmetics collection for spring/summer 2009 has arrived, and under the creative eye of new Artistic Make-Up Director Aaron De Mey the brand seems to be taking an altogether more punky direction for the coming months. Abiding by the old 'eyes or lips, but never both' rule, De Mey created an explosively colourful look of lacquered pink lips and glittery black eyes named Pink Irreverence. Invest in the Pink Punk and Black Palette - a selection of four clashing textures for an intense, look-at-me finish. £31.00, available from Lancome counters nationwide.

Hunter's iconic Wellington boot - a firm favourite with festival-bound fashionistas - has had a luxurious makeover, courtesy of Jimmy Choo.

Featuring a leopard print lining, and embossed crocodile print, the boot retains the classic Hunter shape, but adds a touch of Jimmy Choo bling, with gold-metal buckles and rivets.

Cut Me Some Slack

Guidelines for shopping in the sales:
1. If you didn't need it before the discount, you probably don't need it now.
2. Leave nagging children/partners/friends at home.
3. Avoid anything that requires you to grow or shrink in order to wear it.

If following rules isn't your thing, London Fitting Rooms will help. The skilled tailors (a guarded fashion industry secret) won't refund impulse buys but they will perform alterations on clothes of any shape and size.

The team specializes in designer labels and are particularly good with hand-worked details like sequins, beading and intricate embellishments. Alternatively, they'll give dated clothes a modern makeover, should you need to rediscover and recycle some wardrobe skulkers in credit-crunched times.

Visit them in their North London studio or have them come to your home or office.

Whatever fits the bill.

Karl Lagerfeld's latest inspiration - Claudia Schiffer's breast!

If you're feeling a bit of a post-New Year slump, this little titbit is sure to cheer you up...King Karl has designed a special bowl for Dom Perignon Champagne inspired by err..Claudia Schiffer's breast! The boob-bowl, (nipple included!) was inspired by a similar version once modelled on Marie Antoinette in 1787 and stands atop three champagne bottles bearing Karl's and Claudia's signature. For anyone who's not heard of a little thing called the credit crunch, you can get your hands on Claudia's boob (so to speak...), when you buy with a bottle 1995 Dom Perignon Oenothèque for a mere $3,150. One thing's for sure, the champagne bowl brings a whole new meaning the phrase, 'C' cup...

Nude Shoes

I have been on the lookout for a replacement pair of nude sandals for the last couple of seasons as my old pair have been worn to death and are now in the shoe heaven in the sky. So I'm sure you can imagine my excitement when I can across these sexy nude caged sandals at Matches on Marylebone High Street. Whilst they are not cheap, the happiness they will bring me is priceless or at least that is what I am telling my husband!

New Year, New Blog!

Last night a DJ didn't save my life. Instead I spent the evening in the warmth (and comfort) of my own home with my husband. We watched Fight Club, sipped Champagne and nibbled on cheese and biscuits. It was during this time that I decided that Salon Kitty needed it's own blog. Sure it will include my latest views on all that is hot in Australian fashion, but I will also offer my insight into the big bag world of international fashion, beauty and accessories.

Sit back, relax and watch this space...
